IBC Fire Fighting Trailers
At Farm Fire Fighting Units, we design and manufacture IBC firefighting trailers. Our trailers are ideal for fighting fires or transporting water in rural and remote areas. An IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) is a large, durable tank. It stores water for firefighting. We equip our trailers with 1000 litre or 2000 litre IBC tanks. This ensures they have the water needed to tackle fires in hard-to-reach locations.
Enhanced Stability and Towing Ease
Our IBC firefighting trailers are designed to enhance stability and ease of towing. Lowering the centre of gravity by approximately 175mm (Registered Design), significantly improves the trailer’s steadiness. Our trailers feature a strong Duragal chassis, a safety chain, and a 2-tonne or 3.5-tonne tow hitch, ensuring they are not only stable but also safe for transportation.
In addition, we equip our IBC firefighting trailers with 15” LT tyres (Ford Pattern), providing excellent ground clearance and grip. We opt for steel bolt-on guards, which offer superior resistance to damage from obstacles like gate posts and tree stumps, in contrast to traditional welded guards.
Simplified Loading
Our trailers are designed with a sturdy metal platform at the rear. Your safety is designed into every feature. They arrive fully assembled, ensuring they are ready for immediate use.
Our IBC fire fighting trailers are versatile and can perform multiple functions simultaneously. Our fire fighting trailers can fight fires, draft water, and supply water to other units at once.
Quality Pump and Hose
Our trailers include a high-quality pump and hose reel mounting system for secure operation. The powerful Honda GX200 twin impeller, high pressure pump performs exceptionally well in these applications. We also ensure the hose reel is built to last, with bearings on both sides that prevent breakage—an issue common in other hose reels.
Each of our IBC fire trailers comes with a 36-meter firefighting hose and a stainless steel quick-release reel lock (a patent-pending feature). The galvanised crank handle simplifies hose rewinding, while the pivoting hose guide allows you to deploy the hose in any direction. Additionally, the IBC trailers include a 7.5-meter suction hose, a Camlock fitting, and a foot valve. We also include a suction hose rack to keep everything neatly organized.
Enhanced Durability
To further enhance durability, all steel parts of our mounting systems are zinc-plated to resist rust. The IBC tank stays securely in place, thanks to our patent-pending clamping system. Our trailer’s tough hammer-tone paint finish ensures long-lasting protection. For added convenience, you can opt to include an optional 1” delivery ball valve, Camlock fittings, and a front-mounted toolbox for extra storage space.
In conclusion, Farm Fire Fighting Unit’s IBC firefighting trailers are designed to be rugged, user-friendly, and equipped to handle any firefighting task. With their thoughtful design and robust features, our trailers excel in fighting fires in hard-to-reach areas. Whether you need to fight fires, draft water, or supply water to other units, our trailers will efficiently get the job done.
